Many people have contacted us requesting information regarding E.T. Systems.  These systems have become especially popular in McKinney and Frisco where the citys offer rebates on your water bill as well as the ability to operate your sprinkler system  unrestricted if the unit is installed and registered with the city.  Please check your with your particular city to verify their requirements.

There are several different manufactures but they all work on the same principle of using either an off-site or on-site weather station linked to your controller to measure solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity, wind and rain to make a scientific program that is just right for your plant material and soil conditions.  While the sensors upload weather information to a computer, the computer creates a program using site specific information then initiates your sprinkler system when it is necessary to replenish the water lost from E.T (evapotranspiration).  This system if installed and programmed correctly will also prevent overwatering leading to lost water and unhealthy plant material.

Many people forget to reduce the amount of water from the summertime to the winter therefore wasting a substantial amount water.  This is why the city's are giving incentives on installing E.T.
